Warren Lee
A child prodigy who debuted with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra at six, Warren Lee has forged a multi-faceted career as pianist, composer, and educator. Winner of the 1995 Stravinsky Awards International Piano Competition and the Grand Prix Ivo Pogorelich, he is a Steinway Artist and Naxos and Steinway Spirio recording artist with 12 albums and over 16 million streams to his name. The American Record Guide calls him “a first-rate artist”. His creative output spans over 500 works, including choral pieces, 2 musicals, and piano compositions. His a cappella work House Rules won Second Prize at the 2013 Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award. His music is published by Universal Music Edition (Vienna), Pavane Publishing (USA), Profiri & Horvath (Germany), and the Hong Kong Children's Choir (Hong Kong), and has been performed internationally. Commissions have come from the likes of Hong Kong Inter-school Choral Festival, Music Children Foundation and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Project MuSe. A devoted educator, Warren currently serves as the Principal Music Director of AISL Harrow Schools in Asia, having previously spent 17 years as Music Director of his alma mater, St. Paul's Co-educational College in Hong Kong. He has guest lectured at Yale University, the Tianjin Juilliard School, and other leading institutions. A lifelong learner, he holds multiple postgraduate degrees, including an MBA from HKUST and a Master of Laws from the University of London. He was named a Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong in 2012, appointed an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2015, and received Yale University’s Ian Mininberg Distinguished Alumni Award in 2017. Quiet The Musical is born of his belief that every quiet voice deserves to be heard. He is delighted to be presenting this work with a cast of over 300 student performers, many of them his present and former students, and to witness their growth along this memorable journey.

Michelle Li
Michelle Li Yuen Jing is the founder and co-artistic director of Rooftop Productions, and the recipient of the Award for Young Artist (Drama) at the 16th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Performance Creation from Goldsmiths, University of London, and holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in English Studies from the University of Hong Kong. Li is an interdisciplinary performer and theatre practitioner in Hong Kong. She has created site-specific theatre works in the UK, Greece, and Sicily, and continues to develop her performing and creative career locally, working as a producer, director, performer, and designer. Additionally, Li has extensive experience in theatre education, having written and taught various courses related to musical theatre, vocal training, choral singing, original writing, site-specific theatre, and applied drama for different schools and organizations. Assistant Music Director
Christopher Cheung
Chris Cheung, Hong Kong-based composer and jazz pianist. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, majoring in Film Scoring and Jazz Piano. Since graduating, he has been actively involved in a wide range of musical projects. His film scoring credits included It Remains, the debut feature from Hong Kong film director Kelvin Shum, which made its appearance at the Ravenna Nightmare Film Festival in Italy. The score has received critical acclaim for its unique character, notably for its eclectic blend of electronic and acoustic elements. Other credits include Deliverance, Reclaim, Speak To The Tide, as well as music design for brands like Chow Sang Sang and Emphasis Jewellery. Furthermore, he also wrote for various theater projects, such as Crime and Punishment, Garden of Repose at Hong Kong Arts Festival; a live music score for 100% Hong Kong, produced by German theater company Rimini-Protokoll, etc. His acousmatic work Casting Light was recently recognised and featured in new music festivals like Projecto DME (Portugal) and Forum Wallis (Switzerland), where it is selected to be played in this year’s Ars Electronica Forum Wallis Concerts. Chris also actively performs as a jazz pianist - with recent appearances at multimedia performances produced by Arts and Technology collective Dimension Plus, as well as performing at Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai.

Margaret Yang
Margaret Yang is a high school freshman at Harrow Hengqin. Her love for drama and musicals began since her participation in Seussical Jr. at the age of 9 and has participated in multiple productions since, as the role of both an actress and Assistant Director. Margaret enjoys singing pop songs (specifically Taylor Swift) in her free time and hopes to become a film director in the future. Outside of academia, she is an enthusiastic podcast producer, figure skater, and MUNer. This is her fourth production appearance.

Principal Madeleine
Becky Lee
Becky, “a cross over artist with sheer passion and relentless commitment.” Her lifelong love for music began in childhood, winning numerous titles at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and territory-wide solo singing competitions for over a decade. She later graduated from the Music Faculty of Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in vocal performance and receiving professional training. Since entering the television industry in 2008, Becky has appeared as a bilingual presenter on Pearl, a variety show host, and a drama actress. In 2013, her rendition of 《Think of Me》from The Phantom of the Opera on 《The Voice of the Stars 》was praised by the media as a breakthrough performance. Hence in 2014, she held her first solo orchestral concert, 《A Dream Come True》, which received a full-house response and critical acclaim. In the same year, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the TVB Anniversary Awards for her role in 《Black Heart White Soul》. In 2017, Becky was invited by a Canadian theatre group to play the lead role in the musical 《Love,Forgiveness》. In the same year, she starred in the commissioned film 《Water to Wine》, filmed in Australia and inspired by a true story about the miraculous journey of a child with autism. After leaving TVB in 2019, she starred in her first movie release 《Embrace》 (2021), portraying the daughter of veteran director Anthony Chan in a moving story about reconciliation between a daughter and her father living with dementia. The film was warmly received by audiences. In 2025, she further expanded her artistic work by providing dual-role voice acting for the Korean animated film 《The King of Kings》, gaining recognition within the industry. As a recording artist, addition to recording the above mentioned movie theme songs, Becky released her debut EP 《Just Want to Hold You Tight》 in the US, Canada and Hong Kong in 2017/2018, which received strong response. She has since continued releasing new singles, and in 2025 she was invited to tour Canada for a music sharing series where she also released 《Be There – A Promise Under the Rainbow》, gaining widespread recognition. Becky began learning piano at the age of six and later received professional vocal training under renowned vocal coach Ms Chan Siu-kwan, who laid the foundation for her professional career. They have continued to collaborate closely, including a well-received concert with the Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra in 2024. For over twenty years, Becky has been dedicated to music education. Through her 《Sing Your Heart Out》 philosophy, she works with students aged 8–80 to discover and nurture their musical potential while promoting healthy vocal techniques and holistic physical and emotional well-being. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Becky is also committed to community service. She actively participates in evangelistic sharing, volunteer work, charity activities, and outreach programmes supporting orphans and children with cerebral palsy in rural areas. In 2023, she completed an inner healing course with Elijah House in the United States, hoping to bring comfort and hope to the community.

John Tan
John has worked as a dental surgeon, a secondary school teacher, a comparative education scholar, an Education Bureau chief curriculum officer, a secondary school head, a primary school head, and is now Founding Headmaster of Harrow Hong Kong Children School. He has been studying vocal music bel canto style under Isabel Gentile and Roberto Abbondanza since 2014. Prior to this, John took part in musical productions of the Hong Kong Singers, the oldest community theatre company in Hong Kong, in tenor roles of Beauty and the Beast (2008) and Oliver! (2010), and served as organist and conductor in church choirs in Hong Kong. John believes in the importance of regular cardiovascular exercise for singing, and has taken part in the annual Victoria Harbour race for many years.
