Synopsis
In the prestigious Apex School of Crown, set in 2036, human potential is meticulously managed by Golias, an AI that values only quantifiable success. Principal Madeleine, a proud alumna and once a music lover, now presides over this system—having suppressed her own artistic past to champion the metrics she believes will secure her students' futures. Luna, a profoundly introverted musical genius, finds solace only in the secret compositions she writes and hears in the school's quiet corners.
When assigned to partner with Walter, the top-ranked student who lives by Golias’ metrics, for a music project, her instinct for creativity and human connections clash violently with his demand for predictable, data-driven perfection.
After a defiant presentation that briefly glitches the system, Luna faces crushing punishment and the firing of her beloved teacher Mr. Berns. Guided by her steadfast friend Kathleen—who first helped Luna uncover the flaw hidden in Golias’ name—and joined by a converted Walter and the hacker Maya, the students prepare for a daring counterstroke.
But Luna, consumed by guilt, withdraws into silence. As the school rolls out an even more restrictive Golias 2.0 on Speech Day, Kathleen and the others must rally the student body and find a way to bring Luna back. For they have discovered that the key to defeating the AI is hidden in its name—but to trigger it, Luna must do the very thing that terrifies her most: step forward and use her music to truly connect them all.
In a climactic showdown, Principal Madeleine is forced to reckon with the ghost of her younger self, Madeleine Junior, and the students must prove that the unquantifiable human spirit is not a flaw to be erased, but the only thing that can build a better future.
